The
thumbnail images below show examples of the many different styles of guitars
I make. These include large and small steel
strings, classical and flamenco, Maccaferri style jazz guitars and Weisenborn
lap steel
type instruments. While I usually have one or two instruments in stock, the
guitars are normally custom made for particular musicians after a process
of consultation.

My
instruments are hand crafted from seasoned solid wood. Rosewood, mahogany, cypress,
ebony, and spruces from Europe and North America are among materials available.
Instrument bindings, purflings, headstock inlays and rosettes are of wood, shell
and bone. The guitars are finished in either satin lacquer or hand polished
gloss lacquer, depending on the player's preference. Pickguards can be clear
plastic unless otherwise specified and all steel string guitars are fitted with
an adjustable truss rod.
