This instrument is made for picking and strumming. The body is rosewood with a back wedge of rewa rewa, an ornamental New Zealand wood. The neck is mahogany and has an adjustable truss rod. The body is bound with maple with black and white purfling and a slim rosette on the top. The scale length is 635 mm (25 inches) and the fingerboard and bridge are of rosewood, as is the peg head veneer on the bound headstock.
